How Our Financing Works for You
At HD Parts and Bikes Trader, we offer competitive financing options tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking for traditional financing or leasing programs, we work with all credit types. Generally, the lower your credit score, the higher the down payment required. Conversely, a higher credit score can lead to better rates.
Financing Notes and Options:
-
No Money Down: Many of our bikes are available with no money down for customers with excellent credit. If your credit isn’t as strong, a down payment will be necessary.
-
Age of Motorcycle: Bikes older than 10 years usually require larger down payments. We recommend considering models from 2009 and up, with a preference for 2012 or newer if you have a lower credit score. Newer options often provide the best financing combinations.
-
Classic Bikes: For classic motorcycles, personal loans may be necessary unless you have excellent credit.
-
Bankruptcy Guidelines: Any bankruptcies must be discharged or dismissed before applying. You cannot have open bankruptcies or be delinquent on any auto, motorcycle, or home loans. Recent repossessions or foreclosures may also impact your eligibility.
-
Co-Signer Benefits: If you have a co-signer with stronger credit, adding them to your application can improve your chances of approval.
-
Down Payment Expectations: Applicants with credit scores below 600 typically need at least $1,500 down. For scores around 550 or lower, a larger down payment may be required. If your score is below 500, expect to put down between $2,500 and $3,000, depending on the bike.
-
Financing Recommendations: For those with scores below 600, we recommend choosing a bike no older than 10 years and financed for no more than $10,000 after the down payment. The more you can put down, the better your chances of approval. Aim for models from 2012 or newer if credit issues are a concern.
